6-Hour Everyday Carry Knife-Making
In this immersive 6-hour, hands-on knife-making experience, you’ll have the opportunity to create your own custom everyday carry knife from start to finish!
Beginning with a high-quality piece of 8670 high-carbon steel, you’ll design and grind to shape your own blade (approximately 8" maximum overall length), prepare and heat treat the steel, select and attach wood handle scales, and complete the finishing process. At the end of the experience, you’ll leave with a fully functional knife that you made yourself.
This class provides an excellent introduction to stock-removal knife making, one of the most widely used methods among professional and custom knife makers. You’ll be actively involved throughout the entire process. Your instructor will provide guidance, demonstrate techniques, and step in to help when needed—but the goal is for you to make your knife.
No previous knife-making or metalworking experience is required.
