HOME SCHOOL EXPERIENCE - Thursdays, January 11th to February 8th, 2024 - 9am - 12pm - BLACKSMITHING ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Over a period of (5) weeks, students will learn to forge small items to sell and then sell them.
As a class, they will be creating their very own small business! After doing a little forging for the first (2) weeks, they will dive into collectively putting together a small business. The final capstone experience will be when we set up a booth at the Fairhope Pier for one of the Farmers Markets Days.
Students will be learning and doing things such as:
- Performing market research to determine the right product to sell and at the right price point.
- Creating a marketing plan.
- Determining and executing ways to improve manufacturing processes.
- Learning to sell and about the selling process!
As a small business owner, I am super passionate about this class and really hoping to make an impact in the future of some young entrepreneurs! There will be some prep for class needed, but it's fun!
The minimum age for this class is 12. We need at least (4) people to sign up to make this class happen. Refunds will be issued if we don't meet the minimum of four.
A signed liability waiver will be required to take this class. A class participant under the age of 18 must have a liability waiver signed by their parent or guardian. Waivers will be distributed and signed at the beginning of class. A copy for preliminary review is located under the FAQ section of this website. We take the safety of your children extremely seriously. Each young adult is responsible for listening to and following directions at all times. Unruly or intentionally unsafe behavior may result in the child being dismissed from the class without a refund.
