Saturday, March 14th, 2026 (8am to 12pm) - FATHER/SON(S) KNIFE MAKING EXPERIENCE
Father & Son Knife-Making Class
This class will be held at:
25421 Hwy 181, Unit 106, Daphne, Alabama 36526
This 3.5–4 hour hands-on class is designed specifically for fathers and sons. Each participant will have the opportunity to make their own knife from start to finish.
Pricing is per person.
- If a father and son are sharing the experience but making one knife, only one class fee is required.
- If both participants plan to make their own knives, the cost will be two class fees.
What You’ll Do
You will actively participate in creating your own everyday carry knife using high-quality high-carbon steel. The class experience includes:
- Starting from a pre-cut knife blank
- Designing your own blade tip
- Heat treating the blade
- Attaching and shaping wood handle scales
This class provides an excellent introduction to the stock removal knife-making process, one of the most commonly used methods by professional knife makers today. Instructor assistance is provided throughout the class, and the instructor will complete the final blade grinding for you.
Finishing Time & Breaks
Depending on the total number of participants, final blade grinding may take up to one additional hour. If this occurs, it’s a perfect opportunity to grab lunch at one of the many nearby restaurants and return to pick up your finished knife.
Waiver Requirement
A signed liability waiver is required for participation. Waivers will be distributed and signed at the beginning of class. A copy is available for review in the FAQ section of this webpage.
