This great Beginner Railroad Knife Making Class will teach you how to make your very own Railroad Spike Knife! We will be incorporating the use of a 12 Ton Hydraulic Forge Press. You will also learn basic forging skills and spend a little time grinding. The instructor will help with the final grinding and sharpening. Due to the kind of steel RR spikes are made of, we will not attempt any kind of heat treatment. This is a great class to determine if more knife-making classes are right for you!
Also, please note, a signed liability waiver will be required to take this class. Waivers will be distributed and signed at the beginning of class. A copy for preliminary review is located under the FAQ section of this webpage.
