(If you have not taken the (12) Hour Intro to Knife Making class or (9) Hour Intro to Knife Making, please let me know before signing up). This class meets on Monday Evenings beginning March 4th. We will be forging a basic multi-layer random pattern Damascus blade. In this class, we will:
- Forge weld a basic billet - by hand & by machine
- Cut and restack a billet one time for a total of 12 to 24 layers
- Forge out a rough blade
- Dive more deeply into Heat Treatment
- Apply wood scale handles
- Finish grind and sharpening - a couple of new sharpening methods will be introduced
Also, please note, a signed liability waiver will be required to take this class. Waivers will be distributed and signed on the first night of class. A copy for preliminary review is located under the FAQ section of this webpage.
